Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with animals and of course, as most kids, I wanted to be a vet or a zoologist and that passion naturally led me to my first job at a high-volume dog kennel and daycare. I worked my way through every department but spent most of my time managing daycare yards, gaining experience in how dogs communicate, interact and navigate social environments. Those early experiences taught me many lessons that still shape my training today.
I got into dog training when a trainer came to help out in our daycare yards and noticed something in me that I didn’t see in myself yet. After observing me work with dogs, he commented on my skill in handling them and later invited me to train under him. I was definitely hesitant but that quickly turned into curiosity, becoming a passion that I immersed myself in. Watching dogs learn, helping the humans understand their dogs and seeing relationships improve through training confirmed that this was exactly where I was meant to be.
Today, Lead K9 Training is built around the belief that training is about far more than obedience training. Every dog is an individual with unique genetics, experiences, motivations and challenges. My goal is to help owners better understand their dogs while creating structure, CLARITY and trust. Whether I’m working with a puppy, a family dog struggling with manners or a dog needing behavior modification. My focus remains the same: building lasting results through communication, relationship, and consistency.
